Accessibility Statement
This is the accessibility statement for China Rose. In short, this page lists what I’ve done so far to accommodate those with disabilities browsing the website. This will be updated as I try to add more accessibility features in the future. This accessibility statement is heavily borrowed from Dive Into Accessibility, in order to follow guidelines more correctly. If I have not met certain needs that you believe should be addressed, or if you have any further questions or comments, you can contact me.
Access Keys
All pages on this site define the following access keys:
- Access key 1 - Home page
- Access key 2 - Skip to Content
- Access key 9 - Contact
- Access key 0 - Accessibility statement
However, these access keys will not be definite. If any of these access keys conflict with user functionality (as in browser-specified functions, etc), please contact me, so I can make changes. These access keys may disappear in the future, depending on how useful and/or conflicting they may be for users.
Standards Compliance
This section lists standards that I have tried to meet while maintaining this site.
- This site complies with at least the Priority 1 guidelines of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and hoping to meet the Priority 2 and 3 guidelines.
- All pages on this site validate as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
Content
The following section lists the accessibility adjustments I have made for content, whether it be texual or visual content.
- Most links are written to make sense out of context.
- All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.
- This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout.
- The content of the page is still readable, even with style sheets turned off.
